Dear Parents,

Please emphasize the importance of internet safety with children by sharing the following basic guidelines with them:

  •  Talk to people in the real world, face to face, NOT online.
  • Do not give anyone online your last name, phone numbers at home or school, your parents' workplaces, or the name or location of your school or home address. Be sure that screen names do not reveal information on age or location.
  • Never give your password to anyone but a parent or other adult in your family.
  • Internet Safety is just as important at home as it is at school.

REMEMBER: Please remember that nothing on the Internet is private!  For more information about Internet safety please visit the Cyber Safety link on the right side or the  parent's page at NetSmartz from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Thanks,

Your Computer Lab Assistants
